Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara Falls & South Niagara (CLOSED)

Services and programs offered include:
  • Traditional Mentoring: Children are matched in one-to-one relationships with adult volunteers who serve as positive role models, offering friendship, support, guidance, and exposure to new opportunities and activities.
  • Big for a Day Program: Recreational and social activities are provided monthly for children and youth on our wait list to be matched.
  • In School Mentor: An adult volunteer is matched with a student to help improve the student self-esteem and school interests, meeting once a week for one hour on school property.
  • Go Girls! / Game On! Group Mentoring: For girls / boys aged 12-14, a mentor approach to provide girls / boys with information and support to make informed choices about healthy, active living. Runs in schools for seven 1-2 hour sessions.
